The semester is moving along so fast. Half of the semester has already passed and I am very pleased to say that all the students have been doing an excellent job so far. They are working very hard and all the hard work is paying off. Every week that goes by the students are feeling more and more confident and in turn, they are speaking more and more English, not just with me, but also with each other. They are also becoming more fluent in reading. We practice every day in order for them to improve as much as possible. There is still a lot of work to be done enable for them to become more fluent at speaking. It is always a good idea to practice as much as possible at home. Even if it is, just to practice the weekly sentence with Mom and Dad.

The second monthly test is done and I'm proud to say that everyone did their best and passed the test.  Good Job! If there are any of the work the students have problems with or if they need help with anything, please feel free to ask me or my co teacher, Ivy. We will be more than happy to help them.

Best regards,

Tr. Ivy

As the First Semester is in full swing, the P1A class has adjusted to life in Elementary school excellently. They have bonded together as class extremely well. I am very proud of their positive attitude and eagerness to perform. The class, as whole, has adapted to testing and advanced work with great ease, and should be commended on this.

With the introduction of ‘spelling tests’ and ‘monthly tests’ the students have handled themselves with great confidence, performing amazingly. I am truly proud of their achievements. The class has adjusted to the rules of the class, and has displayed an eagerness to learn and develop. Writing, spelling and grammar levels are continually improving. The students had a great deal of fun during Halloween, and should be praised for their wonderful discipline during this period.

I would like to thank all parents who continually help their children study, learn and adjust to Elementary life. Your help is a benefit that your children appreciate and is paying off in their performances. If any parent has questions or anything to discuss, please don’t hesitate to contact the school of myself. Thank you for all your effort.

P1-B started this semester a bit rocky. With Good effort and great self-motivation from everybody, we progressed with great pace. Everyone passed their first monthly test with the exception of one. She was very close to passing too though.

It has been a very eventful couple of months too, with the many national holidays, and events like Halloween and recital. Everyone had to work extra hard just to be on schedule. It was not ideal but all the boys and girls put in their 120% effort and we should all be proud of them.

Recital competition is done, everyone is doing great. Especially Grace! She started the semester with fears of opening her mouth. Now she not only is she reading aloud, she is one of the best in class. Other children improved equally as much. Gene, although he has trouble pronouncing some sounds due to his teeth. He still improved greatly in the reading department.

I encourage everyone to try on read frequently. Do not be afraid of making mistakes. We all learn from making them. Keep up the good work and strive for excellence.

Tr. Lanie

It has been a very successful start to a new semester and we have been having fun completing our tasks. We got to know each other very well and are having more fun doing our lessons. The workload is a bit heavy but all the students adjusted very quickly and are doing excellent! The students are improving every day! Everyone has been performing much better on their weekly spelling tests, too! We have been working hard on our Speech Contest presentations, and everyone has really surprised me with their abilities! Thank you to the parents who have been helping their children at home to practice and improve.

We had a lot of fun during Halloween! Thank you to all the parents for helping with finding and making costumes! The students really looked amazing in their outfits!

I’m looking forward to seeing everyone progress and improve even more this year!

Should there be any queries or concerns, please don’t hesitate to write me a note in the communication books or contact me at the school.

Kind regards,

Tr. Lanie

P1-C is one of the freshest classes this semester. It is understandable that they still have trouble expressing themselves through English. We have been working hard trying to build then a solid foundation for them to strive on.

The first monthly test is a great testament of their potentials and their future possibilities. Everyone passed with more than acceptable scores in their first attempt. They are all performing wonderfully with written work. Vocal wise, they still have some shortcomings, as there are sounds in the English language that doesn’t exist in Chinese. It is something that will improve over time.

Unfortunately, time is something that we were short of for the past few months. With the amount of national holidays and events that we had, we barely had time to finish the scheduled materials. That being said, everyone still improved greatly. I’m sure everyone will still continue to improve in all the time top come.

It has been a hard start to a new semester and we have been working hard to get through our lessons. The workload is a bit heavy and most weeks we have a really hard time trying to finish all our assigned tasks. I am however very happy to say that the students adjusted very quickly and are doing an excellent job! Everyone is doing their best and is making a success of their English studies. The students show improvement every day! Everyone has been performing much better on their weekly spelling tests, too! We have been working hard on our Speech Contest presentations, and everyone has really surprised me with their abilities! Thank you to the parents who have been helping their children at home to practice and improve.

With the fist Semester of P3A in full swing, the students have adjusted extremely well to life in a new class and with a new teacher. I am truly proud of their positive attitude and eagerness to perform. The class has displayed strong cohesiveness and a sense of humor. This makes learning English pleasant and enjoyable.

As the class steps up form P2 to P3, there is a big difference in the amount of work and the level of work, particularly in vocabulary and grammar. The P3A class is adjusting well, and is handling the work with confidence. I would like to thank all the parents who have helped with this transition, and who continue to help. As I have previously stated, I believe that children need boundaries and discipline in order to develop to their best possible potential. I have tried very hard to control the balance between these two in past months, and have at present a well-balanced learning environment in the P3A class. The class had a great time during our Halloween experience, engaging in numerous activities and games. Any and all assistance from parents would be appreciated. If any parent has questions or anything to discuss, please don’t hesitate to contact the school of myself. Thank you for all your effort.

Time is moving along fast and before we now it, we have already passed the halfway mark. I am very happy with the students’ performance so far in the semester. We have been working hard on all the different parts we do in class, but we have been spending a lot of time on grammar seeing as that is the most difficult part. I know that the grammar is hard and that some of the student might have a hard time understanding it, but they should not hesitate to ask me for help or to explain the part they do not understand, again. That is the only way they will really master the grammar part. As for the reading they are doing great and have no problem reading fluently and by themselves.

The second monthly test is finished,if there are any questions regarding the work the students; please do not hesitate to ask me for help. I hope everyone can study for the test so we can try to improve on the last monthly test’s scores.

Best regards,

Tr. Michelle

Wow… Time really has been flying.  It hardly seems possible that midterm time is already upon us, but it is! We had a great start for this semester and I am pleased to say that the children are doing great in class. The English only rule in class has helped improved their oral and conversation skills and also boosted their confidence.  I have seen the kids make a lot of progress and improvement in their grammar and writing skills as well. We also had a great time over Halloween, the students put in a lot of effort to dress up and had a great time playing the games. We are working hard at our recital and trying to practice as much as possible. I look forward to seeing who can go through to the finals. Keep working hard!

 Tr. Nick

It has been so great interacting with and teaching the kids of P6. The students are all very eager to learn and they fully participate during class. Since the class is very small, we often go through all the materials as a class and the students all take turns answering questions. I also often put them into teams and have them compete against each other in a friendly manner; I find that this method really pushes and encourages them, as well as adding a fair amount of fun to the class material.

As a class, I think one of P6’s strongest points is their reading ability. None of them have any trouble reading and understanding all of the text provided for them, and even when I teach them a complete new word, they can correctly pronounce it! I hope to foster and improve parts of their English abilities as the semester goes on. I have no doubt that they will be able to excel and exceed!

Best,
